Dear Parent,
Nurture is an important part of the attachment process. Give nurture even when you are not getting compliance. Nurture is not a reward. It is a requirement. It’s easy to get mixed up about this and important to get clarity.
A tantrumming (panicked) child needs nurture and love immediately.
You are safe. I am going to sit right here with you. I will be here when you are ready for my hug. I love you.
That’s how a Child Whisperer sounds during a tantrum.
