Dear Parent,
My mother was an I'd rather do it myself type. She didn't tolerate things being done by children because they often weren't done well. When she discovered the poorly completed chore, she blew her stack. She would rather do it herself.
If you work side-by-side with your kids to do chores, they will do them much more willingly. You can teach them how to do the chores correctly, spend time with them, and they will get the we are a family message without you saying a word on the topic.
Our children need active parenting. Couch parenting begets resistant children. Put on some dance music, join in, and have fun working together. You might be surprised how little effort it takes to get the whole house clean.
Get in there. Your family is a ready-made team.
